For the second consecutive year, SDC Monk is proud to present Monktoberfest, a must-attend fall event brilliantly produced by Théâtre Paradoxe. This vibrant festival, which embodies the festive spirit of Montreal’s Sud-Ouest neighbourhood, will take place on a closed street (between Jolicoeur and Jacques-Hertel) in the heart of Ville-Émard. On Sunday, September 29, starting at noon, we invite you to a day where commercial vitality meets cultural celebration. Enjoy a rich and entirely free program designed to delight all ages. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample microbrewery beers and discover the merchants of Boulevard Monk, featuring food and local crafts.

The musical lineup promises to electrify the crowd with well-known artists. La Banda Loca, Les Shirley, and Émile Bilodeau with his band will perform on an outdoor stage, transforming the street into a vibrant open-air celebration.
Younger attendees will enjoy activities specially designed for them, presented by Caisse Desjardins du Sud-Ouest de Montréal and Concertation Ville-Émard / Côte St-Paul. Dance enthusiasts will be thrilled by the dynamic performances of École de danse Chantal Renaud./p>
A curated selection of food vendors will offer quality culinary options, with standout booths including: Avec le Temps – Gourmet Confections, La Crêperie Samson, Instacrispy, Monk Café, Restaurant La Petite Pause, Gourmet Aldo, Café Central, Pâtisserie Par Amour, and Poulet Foo. Local merchants—Boutique Nouluv, Spooks and Spanks, Ceramik Fiso Kusinö, La Barberia, Melow Design, and Café Beardlington & Barbershop—will also be on site to further enrich the experience.
No Monktoberfest would be complete without great beer! A fine selection of local microbrewery beers will be available, featuring Cinqàsept, Monk Café, 4 Origines, and BENELUX.
