About the event

For the forth consecutive year, SDC Monk is proud to present Monktoberfest, a must-attend fall event brilliantly produced by Théâtre Paradoxe. This vibrant festival, which embodies the festive spirit of Montreal’s Sud-Ouest neighbourhood, will come to life on Saturday, October 3, 2026, on a closed street in front of Théâtre Paradoxe (between Jolicoeur and Jacques-Hertel), in the heart of Ville-Émard.

 

 

Program & Schedule

The musical lineup promises to electrify the crowds with renowned artists:

• 12h30 : Official opening of the event
• 12h30 : Burning BRASs Band, brass instruments, energy, and a high-octane atmosphere are guaranteed
• 13h10 : Performance by the Chantal Renaud Dance School in front of the main stage
• 14h : Colorful parade with Melow on the steps of the Théâtre Paradoxe and along Monk Boulevard
• 14h à 17h : Face painting & balloons in the family zone, presented by the Caisse Desjardins du Sud-Ouest de Montréal on Biencourt Street
• 14h30 : Miss Fizz, the Bubble Fairy, wanders among you
• 15h30 : Les Lunatiques, a band that will add their festive touch to the main stage
• 17h : Burning BRASs Band returns to the Family Zone stage
• 18h : Bleu Jeans Bleu with their infectious energy and unique style, on the main stage
• 20h : Winslow Dancers will teach you line dancing on the Terrasse St-Georges

 

An Event for the Whole Neighborhood

Monktoberfest is also an opportunity to discover the local merchants, artisans, and organizations that contribute to the neighborhood’s vibrancy. Visitors can enjoy a diverse culinary selection, discover local products and services, and celebrate the arrival of fall with family or friends.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of gourmet treats all day long, courtesy of the Monk Boulevard merchants participating in the event: Gourmet Aldo, Pastamalfi, Gagaglaces, Taco & Margarita, Wuli, La Boîte Bento Asiatique, and Bento&Bistro. It’s the perfect way to refuel between shows—because a good festival really works up an appetite!

Monktoberfest will also be an opportunity to discover several businesses on Monk Boulevard and showcase local expertise, including Boutique Melow, Liquidation W&S, Beardlington, and physical therapist Vincent Lachance.

For the first time at Monktoberfest, there will also be a space dedicated to local artisans, who will showcase their creations and products: JP Conception, SiGallery, Print&Paint, Moonbeamery, Coralia Accessoir, Honey Sparkle, Belinclay, and Montréal Gift Shop.

Finally, the Family Zone will bring together several neighborhood organizations that help bring the community to life: Maison d’entraide St-Paul et Émard, the Bibliothèques du Sud-Ouest, and the Caisse Desjardins du Sud-Ouest de Montréal. It’s a great opportunity to discover the resources, initiatives, and people who keep the neighborhood’s heart beating.

 

Admission is free. Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026, on Monk Boulevard, in front of the Paradoxe Theater, between Jolicoeur and Jacques-Hertel.
